Leadership and Governance
Governance
Neighborhood Health is a private nonprofit organization that is a recognized federally qualified health center (FQHC). Federal rules that govern FQHCs require that at least 51% of members of the Board of Directors are patients of Neighborhood Health. Patient members of the Board of Directors must represent the demographics of Neighborhood Health’s patient population (e.g., with respect to race, ethnicity, and gender). Also, the Board should have members who have lived experience or who represent persons experiencing homelessness and residents of public housing. Non-patient members of the Board of Directors must reside in or have ties to the community served by Neighborhood Health and have expertise in a relevant subject area (e.g., community affairs, government, finance and banking, legal affairs, etc.). Neighborhood Health employees and their immediate family members cannot serve on the Board.
Please email us if you are interested in serving on our Board of Directors.
