Understanding Insurance and Payment Options

Flexible Payment Options

At Neighborhood Health, we make sure you get the care you need without worrying about cost. We know healthcare expenses can be stressful, so we accept many payment and insurance options to fit your situation. For uninsured patients, we offer a sliding fee scale that lowers costs based on household income. No one is ever denied care because of their ability to pay.

We’re here to help you understand your payment options! If you don’t have insurance, contact us before your visit for a cost estimate. Our team will work with you to make sure you have the information you need.

Payment Plans
We offer flexible payment plans that let you spread out costs over time, making it easier to manage your healthcare expenses.
Sliding Fee Scale
We know affordability matters, and we may be able to lower your costs. To see what assistance you qualify for, please share information about your income and family size. You can provide documents like a pay stub, tax return, or other proof of income.
Cash
Cash payments are accepted.
Credit and Debit Cards
Major credit and debit cards are accepted for your convenience.

** If you are currently experiencing homelessness, please let us know; we can offer further reductions if you provide appropriate proof. Your well-being is our priority!

Insurance Options

We accept most major insurance plans, giving you the flexibility to choose the coverage that works best for you. It includes, but isn’t limited to:

TennCare

We accept all TennCare plans, including United Healthcare, WellPoint, Cover Kids, and Blue Cross/Blue Shield. If you qualify, we can also help you sign up for TennCare or CoverKids.

Private/Commercial Insurance Managed Care Plans

Neighborhood Health accepts most plans.

Medicare

Neighborhood Health also accepts Advantage plans.

It’s always a good idea to check with your insurance provider to make sure your plan covers the services you need.

Neighborhood Health also offers free, in-person help from patient navigators who can assist you with enrolling in TennCare or CoverKids. Our navigators can also help you find programs that offer financial assistance for medications and support you with TennCare re-enrollment.

If you’d like to meet with a patient navigator, just let our front desk staff know. These sessions are free for all patients. To schedule a visit, call us at 615-227-3000.
